Dohrn Transfer was started in 1921 in Rock Island, Illinois, by Charles Dohrn. He began with just one truck and a goal to deliver goods safely and on time. His values of customer care and employee respect still guide the company today.

By the 1980s, Charles’ grandson Gary Dohrn grew the company further. Dohrn expanded its fleet, added new services, and built a strong name in the Midwest. Today, Dohrn has over 500 trucks, 1,200 employees, and 23 terminals in 9 states.

In 2014, Dohrn joined the Pitt Ohio Transportation Group, which gave it more resources and advanced technology. This step helped Dohrn improve its shipping services and offer better tools for customers. By 2016, Dohrn became part of Logiflow, a logistics company under Pitt Ohio, while still keeping its strong values.
